FORT KOCHIN, KERALA

On arrival we unwittingly commence four days of unintentional laziness. Failure to cement plans, playing as it comes, both were responsible for this new, sedentary pattern after re-locating from Kashmir, though it was the heat that spanked me into repose at Fort Cochin. I was reminded of a year past February, of fitful, three-hour siestas in the heat and humidity of Panama. The weather was similar here, and the rising temperatures signalled the waning of peak tourist season.

Transients dawdle at places like Oy’s CafĂ© upon finding a sociable, comfortable atmosphere with food and a great staff. More stylish is Kashi’s, a larger, cooler space with very nice food from a simple, daily specials menu.

As Well I am also at rest in VT,
Due to a few bruised ribs from a meeting a birch tree in upper snow hole. On the way to Danger Drop, a Mt.Biking feature at Bolton Valley.
Enjoy the sun and sleep.
But don't sleep in the sun.
